About Dr. Tali Clements
Dr. Tali Clements is a licensed psychologist in New York and New Jersey. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brandeis University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Clements received her master’s and doctorate and master’s degrees in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology.
Throughout her training, Dr. Clements has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in various settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, and private practice. She is trained in various evidence-based treatments, including Trauma-Focused Therapy (TF-CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), exposure response prevention (ERP), parent management training (PMT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM), organization skills training, social skills training, and cognitive behavioral treatments for anxiety disorders and depression. Dr. Clements has experience treating a wide range of presenting problems, including depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, separation anxiety, OCD, emotion dysregulation, executive functioning deficits, and posttraumatic stress disorder. She also has extensive experience working with parents and can provide parent coaching to those in need.
Dr. Clements completed her APA-Accredited internship at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, where she trained in the child and adolescent outpatient and inpatient centers, providing CBT and comprehensive DBT to adolescents and adults with emotion regulation difficulties. Dr. Clements also has extensive experience providing psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations to children with learning disorders, language deficits, and executive functioning difficulties.
Dr. Clements completed her post-doctoral fellowship at The Center for Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CCDBT), a comprehensive DBT group practice in New Hyde Park, NY. Dr. Clements has also worked as a licensed psychologist at Cognitive Behavioral Psychology of NYC and Westchester (CBPNY), an evidence-based group practice in Scarsdale, NY, where she provided neuropsychological evaluations to children with learning disorders and executive functioning deficits, individual CBT and DBT-informed care to individuals across the lifespan, as well as parent coaching.
Dr. Clements is committed to making her office a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community as well as patients from backgrounds, religions, races, and cultural identities. She is dedicated to continuing her education by attending didactics, trainings, and workshops.
